Remember lockdown? One of the worst periods of our lives? Yep, so do we. As we were forced to stay inside, all client video projects were cancelled overnight. This resulted in over £100k in missed work for Wallbreaker. Advertising our way out of it was going to be challenging with all of the social distancing!
To help with our client’s budget restrictions whilst their teams were on furlough, we developed an extended payment plan for new video projects! Instead of roping in actors to film (which we weren’t allowed to do anyway), we decided to cast none other than Action Man himself. We took to our Wallbreaker studio for 2 whole days, bought a load of miniature Action-man sized props, and meticulously photographed every single movement of his to create a relatable and funny piece of content.
Combining our childhood plastic hero with stop-motion animation, a witty script, and a killer offer, made for comedic perfection. Our advert was used across LinkedIn and targeted at Marketing Managers of businesses of a certain size. To date it has made Wallbreaker an ROI of over £400k & won several awards, including an award for ‘Best Campaign’, and a Royal Television Society Award in the comedy & entertainment category.
